Job summary

ADTRAN is seeking a Line Quality Auditor in Huntsville to perform system, product, and process audits ensuring 100% accuracy in ADTRAN products. You will inspect PTH, SMT, and mechanical assemblies, conduct OBA, and document findings.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (associates preferred), knowledge of IPC standards, and no travel. Strong attention to detail and quality-driven mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Equivalent experience considered in lieu of education.
• # - # years related experience required (varies by level).
• Strong knowledge of IPC workmanship standards, inspection processes, hand assembly, soldering, and mechanical operation methods.
• Working knowledge of magnifiers, microscopes, and inspection tooling.
• No travel is expected for this position.
• Associate’s Degree in Electronics preferred.
• XRAY, BGN, and/or QFA knowledge preferred.

• Assist with additional duties to ensure 100% quality.

Job Summary

The Line Quality Auditor will be responsible for performing system, product, and process audits in order to ensure 100% accuracy in ADTRAN products.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect PTH, SMT, and Mechanical assemblies per IPC 610 standards.
• Perform OBA on finished products per IPC 610 standards.
• Communicate the audit scope to the responsible Manager(s).
• Examine documents, observe activities, and observe conditions in the areas of audit.
• Enter all defect areas into automated system.
• Prepare audit reports consisting of areas improved, areas effective, observations, and nonconformities noted during the audit.
• Conduct follow-up audit on corrective actions taken and prepare follow-up audit reports.
• Make recommendations on process improvements.
• Other duties as requested in order to ensure 100% quality, accuracy, and product verification.
• Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of education requirements

• Strong knowledge of IPC workmanship standards, inspection processes, hand assembly, soldering, and mechanical operation methods required.
• Working knowledge of magnifiers, microscopes, and inspection tooling required.
• No travel is expected in this position.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics or Manufacturing preferred.
• Knowledge of XRAY, BGN, and/or QFA preferred.
• Previous experience in electronics and/or manufacturing field preferred.

Essential Physical And Mental Qualifications

• The employee must walk and stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 35 pounds without assistance on a repetitive basis and lift materials greater than 35 pounds with assistance.
• Manual dexterity with hands and fingers is necessary to make quick, precisely coordinated movements to grasp, manipulate, and assemble very small objects on a consistent basis.
• Must be able to frequently extend or reach with hands and arms while performing routine job functions including scanners, hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.
• The job will require occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• The employee to possess the ability to see and interpret instructions, warnings, safety hazards, colors, and procedures, the ability to hear alarms and pages, to listen for safety hazards, to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences in English, and the ability to communicate with peers through spoken words in English to complete job requirements.
• Employees may be exposed to solder fumes. Eye protection, respirators, and safety clothing will be required and supplied by the company in instances where there is exposure to safety hazards.
