Job summary

Molex is seeking an Electronics Lab Technician to join our team. Training on network analyzers, signal integrity tools, and time-domain reflectometry will be provided. This role offers a development path to test cable assemblies and other products for signal integrity.

Under engineers and a lab supervisor, you will perform tests, analyze results, and communicate improvements. You will gain hands-on experience in measurement techniques and quality programs across global engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Certification or college coursework in Electronic Engineering Technology or related field of study.
• Experience using hand tools, electrical equipment, or hands-on lab work.
• Intermediate computer skills: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Intermediate scripting skills (Python, MATLAB) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform soldering or de-soldering on boards and connectors for electrical testing.
• Perform Signal Integrity measurements on high-speed products using network analyzers.
• Perform time domain reflectometry measurements and oscilloscope measurements.
• Perform BER, SNR and Eye measurements on high-speed data signals.
• Perform mechanical exposures to high-speed data cables.
• Create reports from measurement data using Microsoft Office and in-house software.
• Highlight areas of failure and propose possible reasons for malfunctions.
• Organize lab and archive reports in the online library.
• Support Molex quality programs by following approved policies and procedures.
