Job summary

Fives Group is seeking an Electronics Lab Technician to support reliability and manufacturing testing of automotive electrical hardware, including ADAS, telematics, infotainment, and ECUs. This hands-on role involves setting up test equipment, running environmental and electrical tests, troubleshooting hardware, and documenting results.

You will collaborate with engineering teams to validate new test systems, build fixtures, and read schematics while maintaining organized lab documentation.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or equivalent hands-on electronics experience.
• 5+ years in electronics testing or related environments.
• Experience with test equipment setup and lab instrumentation.
• Familiarity with thermal and vibration test chambers; chillers a plus.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and component datasheets.

Responsibilities

• Operate software interfaces and test equipment during hardware bring-up and validation.
• Set up, operate, and maintain thermal and vibration test chambers.
• Support calibration and mechanical setup of environmental chambers and associated equipment.
• Perform electrical testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and analyzers.
• Troubleshoot failures in DUTs, test equipment, wiring, and harnesses.
• Build and modify test fixtures, harnesses, and electromechanical test setups.
• Read and interpret schematics and component datasheets, document results.
