Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 8+ years in electronic and embedded systems development for scientific/analytical/industrial instrumentation.
• 3+ years in engineering management or technical leadership.
• Strong analog/digital circuit design, mixed-signal systems, PCB development, and embedded electronics.
• Experience with embedded firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers, processors, or FPGA-based platforms.
• Familiarity with FPGA architectures, real-time control, and high-speed data acquisition hardware.
• Experience debugging hardware/firmware interactions using lab instruments.
• Experience with EMC/ESD design, testing, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record delivering products from concept to commercialization and manufacturing transfer.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of electrical and firmware engineers.
• Establish engineering roadmaps and development plans aligned with product objectives.
• Drive project planning, technical reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Lead architecture and development of subsystems including PCBAs, embedded processors, FPGAs, GPUs, and instrument control electronics.
• Oversee embedded firmware for instrument control, data acquisition, signal processing, and QC.
• Guide GPU-accelerated solutions for image acquisition and data analysis workflows.
• Coordinate design-for-manufacture/test activities and enable interface definitions and verification strategies.
• Drive integration, debugging, and performance optimization; pursue root-cause investigations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers for system-level success.
