Job summary

Lockheed Martin seeks a Summer 2027 Intern in our operations engineering electronics development team in the United States. You will work with senior engineers on real projects in the factory, contributing to hardware assembly, test, and integration efforts.

Ideal candidates have hands-on lab experience and interest in signals and system communications. The role emphasizes C/C++, Python, Verilog/VHDL, and exposure to design-for-test processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology or a closely related discipline.
• Hands‑on laboratory experience: soldering, BGA rework, use of high‑frequency test equipment, prototype assembly, and debugging.
• Academic background in analog/digital circuit design, signal processing, embedded systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Must be a US Citizen; This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, bench-test, and troubleshoot complex hardware; configure and operate advanced test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, RF test gear).
• Integrate hardware‑software interfaces and conduct unit testing (C/C++, Python, Verilog/VHDL).
• Component & reliability analysis for circuit card assemblies
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews, work with teams in operations and design engineering to understand design for test (DFT) requirements and make recommendations to senior team members.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $26.81 - $30.97
