Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD seeks Electronics Engineer or Principal Electronics Engineer to support radar sensor system installation, testing, and field operations. After an initial training period in Baltimore, you may rotate to Palmdale, CA for two years, with occasional travel up to 10%.

You will test, troubleshoot, and refine RF/electrical systems, work with a multi-disciplinary team, and support mission-critical operations across sites. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in STEM and minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with airborne AESA radar/communications systems, Electrical/Mechanical/System Engineering.
• Must be willing to work on a rotating schedule, including occasional shift and weekend work.
• Must work out of Baltimore for initial training and after the two-year Palmdale, CA assignment.
• Must travel up to 10% (CONUS/OCONUS).
• US Citizenship and current Top Secret Clearance; SAP clearance ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance with installation and test support of a phase array sensor system.
• Operate as system knowledge expert on MS team and collaborate with engineers.
• Support mission operations and provide monitoring and guidance.
• Conduct post-installation and pre-mission testing with other platform systems.
• Collect, evaluate and report test results; troubleshoot hardware and software.
• Recommend corrective action and propose design/procedural improvements.
• Oversee repair work and support field sites and customer meetings.
