Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Titusville, FL is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to support the US Navy FBM D5 Life Extension avionics. You will perform engineering activities across failure investigations, design, integration and testing for the TMK program. You will lead circuit design and analysis, troubleshoot hardware, create schematics, and simulate with ORCAD PSPICE.

Collaboration with SME teams and reviews is required. DoD Top Secret clearance and US citizenship are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience with circuit design, troubleshooting and/or circuit analysis.
• Experience performing failure investigation on electronic hardware.
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance which requires US Citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Investigate hardware failure during acceptance testing at the part, CCA and package levels.
• Apply circuit design and troubleshooting principles to develop new and improve existing electronics hardware.
• Assess, troubleshoot and analyze existing avionics hardware.
• Perform circuit simulation with tools such as ORCAD PSPICE.
• Create and maintain documents to include Electronic Drawings including Schematics, and other Avionics Hardware documentation.
• Participate in technical reviews and audits.
• Support all aspects of the avionics electronic package design, development, integration, test, and verification activities including requirement development and flow-down.
• Work with other Subject Matter Authorities to understand the hardware and systems.
• Assist with investigations and tests at customer and supplier sites.
• Provide technical leadership to a group of junior electronics engineers.

As a Senior Electronics Engineer, you will perform Engineering functions in support of the US Navy's Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) D5 Life Extension (D5LE) Avionics/Test Missile Kit (TMK) Engineering.

Key Activities You Will Accomplish In This Role

To Be Effective In This Role, You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Have previous experience troubleshooting hardware using schematics, drawings or simulation tools.
• Have experience or previous coursework using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, power supplies, etc.).
• 3+ years professional experience; 3+ years with Masters degree.
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance, thus you are a US Citizen.

Researches, designs, develops, and tests a variety of electronic equipment and systems, including radar and radiation detection equipment; radio, television and other communications equipment and systems; circuitry components; analog and digital computers; and control and test equipment.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Experience with circuit design, troubleshooting and / or circuit analysis.
• Experience performing failure investigation on electronic hardware (CCA, Unit, and System Level).
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance which requires US Citizenship.

Desired Skills

• Excellent teaming, communication, and leadership skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate Failure Analysis, complex design information, technical decisions and issues to both highly technical and non-technical reviewers.
• Demonstrated experience with design and/or analysis of PCB/PWB or Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA)
• Design experience using any of the major tools such as Mentor, Cadence, Altium, or Zuken.
• Experience performing circuit modeling and analysis with tools such as ORCAD PSPICE
• Experience performing electronics analysis (Worst Case Analysis, Electrical Parts Stress Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis)
• Adaptable to new situations and demonstrate self-initiative in solving complex problem
• Experience or willingness to lead teams through challenging engineering and/or programmatic issues.
• Able to work effectively in a diverse team environment.
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.
• Experience on Space and/or Missile Defense Missions

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00
