Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking an Electronics Engineer I to contribute to full lifecycle design of board- and system-level electronics for cutting-edge RF communication systems. The role offers hands-on, collaborative work in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Electrical Engineering, strong EE fundamentals, and experience with lab equipment; familiarity with PCB tools and LTSpice is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position in Westminster, MD.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, analyzing, and testing board-level electronics.
• Strong fundamentals in EE and related fields.
• Knowledge of software and mechanical domains is a plus.

The Skylark product line is focused on the rapid design, build, and test ofcutting-edgeactive phased array antennas (AESA) for terrestrial and airborne applications. In this role, you will contribute to the full lifecycle design and implementation of board-level and system-level electronics hardware for advanced RF communication systems. We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer I who is early in their career and passionate about engineering. This position offers the opportunity to develop core engineering skills while working alongside a highly experienced team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science (BS) degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Industry experience in board-level electronics design, analysis, and test.
• Strong EE fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of adjacent fields, such as software and mechanical.
• Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multi meters, or logic analyzers.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to ask questions and implement feedback.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• PCB layout experience using tools such as Altium, Cadence, or KiCAD. (Altium preferred)
• Experience delivering subcircuit or board designs to production and deployment.
• Own key portions of the end-to-end electronics design process, from concept and architecture through schematic, layout, test, and production.
• Experience using LTSpice for circuit and/or system level simulations.
• Experience implementing microcontrollers or FPGAs into designs.
• Complete analysis such as worst-case circuit analysis, signal integrity analysis, and power integrity analysis.
• Develop bring-up plans and design verification plans for new circuit elements.

$82,000 - $98,000 a year
