Intelletec Energy is seeking an Electrician / Technician to support a Detention Electronics team across WA, OR and ID with occasional projects in ID. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintenance and problem solving across low-voltage electrical, security electronics, controls, networking, CCTV, access control and electronic locking systems.
You’ll install, test, and repair low-voltage systems, read schematics, and assist with startup and customer handover.
We’re partnering with a well-established, family-owned electrical and systems integration contractor with a strong reputation across the Pacific Northwest. The business is continuing to grow its specialist systems division and offers long-term stability, technical training, and the opportunity to develop across electrical, controls, networking, and electronic security systems.
We’re looking for an Electrician / Technician to join a specialist Detention Electronics team supporting correctional and detention facilities throughout OR, WA - with some projects in ID.
The role is focused around troubleshooting, maintenance and problem solving. You’ll work across a mixture of low-voltage electrical, security electronics, controls, networking, CCTV, access control and electronic locking systems.
You do not need experience across every system listed above. We’re interested in candidates from electrical, low-voltage, security systems, controls, or integration backgrounds who have strong troubleshooting skills and are keen to broaden their technical expertise.
Experience with any combination of CCTV, access control, electronic locking, PLC/HMI systems, networking, fiber, structured cabling, or detention electronics would be highly relevant.
You can be based remote in WA, OR or ID - projects are mainly around the i5 corridor and travel is Mon-Thurs with every weekend at home.
Training and orientation will be provided for 2 weeks out of their Portland HQ, followed by on the job training afterwards if needed. It's a full time role with benefits.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems and wants exposure to a much broader range of systems than a traditional electrical or low-voltage role.
