Job summary

Ingenuity Design Group seeks an Electronics Design Engineer to drive concept-to-production of innovative electronic products. You will own analog/digital circuits, PCB layout, schematics, and hardware bring-up, while collaborating with systems, embedded software, mechanical, and industrial teams.

You will document test plans, BOMs, and manufacturing-release activities, with mentorship from senior designers and opportunities to influence practical, manufacturable solutions across multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of professional electronics product-development experience.
• Experience designing electronic products from concept through prototype, verification, and production.
• Strong analog and digital circuit-design skills.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium or a similar tool.
• Strong hands-on hardware bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting capability.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop electronic products and subsystems from concept through production release.
• Own schematics, component selection, calculations, PCB layout, and technical documentation.
• Design analog, digital, low-power, RF, and embedded-hardware circuits as required.
• Design and review PCBs in Altium, with attention to electrical performance, signal integrity, EMI/EMC, DFM, and DFT.
• Collaborate with systems, embedded software, mechanical, and industrial design teams to define and verify product interfaces.
• Bring up, test, debug, and improve hardware prototypes.
• Plan and perform functional, electrical, environmental, and pre-compliance verification, as applicable.
• Support product compliance and work with external test laboratories, as applicable.
• Prepare clear specifications, test plans, reports, BOMs, and manufacturing-release documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to customers and teammates.
• Support technical estimating, risk identification, and design trade-off decisions during project development.

As an Electronics Design Engineer, you will develop innovative electronic products from early concept through prototype, verification, and production release. You will contribute to multidisciplinary product-development teams and take a practical, hands-on approach to design, testing, debugging, and documentation. Ingenuity develops real-world commercial products across a range of industries. This role is suited to an engineer who can make sound technical decisions, communicate clearly with clients and teammates, and help bring robust, manufacturable products to life. You will receive technical guidance and mentorship from senior designers while continuing to build your commercial product-development capability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electronic products and subsystems from concept through production release.

Minimum Requirements

• Authorized to permanently work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years of professional electronics product-development experience.
• Experience designing electronic products from concept through prototype, verification, and production.
• Strong analog and digital circuit-design skills.
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium or a similar tool.
• Strong hands-on hardware bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting capability.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with RF, wireless, low-power, embedded, sensor, actuator, or batterypowered products.
• Experience with STM32, Nordic, or similar microcontrollers and wireless modules.
• Familiarity with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa, or other ISM-band wireless technologies.
• Familiarity with CAN, USB, Ethernet, I²C, SPI, UART, RS-232, or RS-485.
• Experience with EMC/EMI, product compliance, DFM, DFT, and manufacturingrelease processes.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, environmental testing, or other electronics test equipment.
• Exposure to power-electronics products, including converters, motor drives, power supplies, battery systems, or high-current designs.
