Printpack Inc. is seeking an Electronics Controls Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic equipment in our Bloomington manufacturing environment. The night shift runs 7 PM to 7 AM, four days a week (48 hours).
A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available and the role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities include working with PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and vision systems, performing preventive maintenance, and driving continuous improvement
The Electronics Controls Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical and electronic equipment in a manufacturing environment. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal performance of industrial control systems, PLCs, and various electronic components while maintaining safety standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and works a night shift. Night shift hours will be 7PM-7AM for 4 days a week (total of 48 hours per week). This position is eligible for a $3000.00 sign-on bonus.
3-5 years hands on experience as Electronics Technician preferred
The associate will be exposed to the manufacturing environment where hazards and requirements may include but are not limited to: ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds; standing/walking for extended periods; working in various positions (bending, kneeling, reaching); required to lift, bend, crouch, reach, twist, and crawl; exposure to manufacturing environment (noise, heat, chemicals); may require working in confined spaces; required to work in high places; required to ascend and descend ladders safely; ability to safely operate mobile equipment; ability to wear respiratory protection as needed; ability to wear ARC flash equipment; ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses).
The majority of tasks will be performed in a manufacturing setting with potential exposure to: noise levels above 85 dB; operation of complex machinery; solvents, fumes and inks; concrete floors, roof areas; working at heights, hot work; works near energized and moving equipment; variable temperatures. Must be able to work flexible shifts; may require nights, weekends, and holidays. An additional $2.50/hr premium for hours worked on NIGHT Shift only.
