Job summary

Teradyne, a leader in test and automation, seeks a Commodity Manager for its Product Test Group Supply Chain. You will manage the sourcing of electronics used in our test solutions and collaborate with global engineering teams to shape supplier partnerships, cost strategies, and supply continuity.

Ideal candidates bring 10–15 years in supply chain or electronics sourcing, plus experience with NPIs and mass production. Travel estimated at 15–20%.

Qualifications

• Experience 10-15 years in Supply Chain / Strategic Sourcing / Electronics Manufacturing.
• Technical procurement or planning experience with Electronic Components, PCBs, and PCBAs.
• Experience in new product introduction (NPI) and mass production (MP).
• Experience reading technical drawings, data sheets, BOMs and related files.
• Proven track record of negotiating preferred pricing and driving results.
• Willingness to travel up to 15-20% internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage supply base (domestic and international) for Electronic Components required across our test solutions.
• Work directly with global Engineering teams and key suppliers to develop sourcing and cost management strategies.
• Provide guidance to internal engineering customers on recommended suppliers to use.
• Negotiate purchasing/pricing contracts and MSAs to ensure continuity of supply and protect Teradyne’s interests.
• Monitor global industry trends, track technology roadmaps, and mitigate supply and demand challenges.
• Visit supplier facilities and assess operational capability, financial health, and capacity.
• Present value propositions to executives, including contract awards, cost reviews, and risk mitigation.
