Job summary

Re:Build Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Category Manager, Electronics to own strategic sourcing for electronic and electromechanical components across the company’s manufacturing ecosystem. You will craft sourcing strategies, build supplier partnerships, and balance cost, quality, lead times, and risk to support growth.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Finance to design solutions, negotiate long-term agreements, and drive improvements via AI-enabled procurement

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management, preferably with electronic or electromechanical components.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience developing category strategies, negotiating contracts, and building supplier partnerships.
• Knowledge of electronic components and supply chain risk management.
• Experience with ERP, contract management tools, and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the long-term sourcing strategy for electronic and electromechanical components.
• Build and lead strategic relationships with component manufacturers and distributors.
• Lead supplier negotiations and establish long-term agreements with pricing, delivery, and terms.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve supply continuity across Re businesses.
• Partner with engineering and operations to create sourcing solutions for specialized components.
• Evaluate sourcing strategies including MOQs, tooling investments, and NRE costs.
• Establish and monitor supplier performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Supply Chain to align sourcing with priorities.
• Explore AI and automation opportunities with Digital and AI teams to improve supplier selection and working capital management.
• Provide strategic guidance on electronics sourcing initiatives for long-term growth.
