  • Create required documentation (IT tickets, NCRs, work orders) and close out tasks accurately.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality and leadership to resolve issues; interpret drawings and instructions for operation sequences.
  • Train and mentor new employees; support continuous improvement using CBS tools (5S, KPIs, Standard Work).
  • Maintain OSHA and Crane safety practices; keep work area clean and organized; participate in safety meetings and training.
  • Remain flexible for overtime and additional tasks as assigned by management.

Job Summary:

The Electronics Assembler II works proficiently and independently with limited supervisor performing assigned assembly processes to manufacture Crane Aerospace & Electronics products in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using visual aids, verbal and/or written instructions. In addition, the Assembler III – Electronics communicates with the manufacturing team and performs visual and dimensional inspection.

Electronics Assembler II Essential Functions:
  • Perform assigned assembly tasks, including component preparation, inspection, equipment operation, and support for engineering‑related builds; repair and rework defective or returned assemblies using current IPC Solder Rework Certification.
  • Prioritize daily demand per the Master Schedule, create required documentation (IT tickets, Facilities work orders, NCRs, FAIs), and complete all paperwork and work‑order closeouts accurately.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers, Quality, and leadership to resolve quality issues; assist in determining sequence of operations and installation requirements from drawings and instructions.
  • Train and mentor new employees, demonstrate proficiency across multiple assembly processes, and support continuous improvement through CBS tools (5S, KPIs, Standard Work, Problem Solving).
  • Maintain a safe, organized work environment by following OSHA and Crane safety policies, identifying hazards, and participating in area cleaning, team meetings, and job‑related training.
  • Remain flexible and support business needs, including overtime and additional tasks assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience : 2-5 years of experience in a related field or equivalent training
  • Knowledge : Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Skills : Strong verbal and written communication; Proficiency in reading comprehension (understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents) of the English language; Proficient in operating software tools (ie. Oracle, Teamcenter, QMS, Excel)
  • Abilities : Accurate color vision, near vision, and depth perception and other vision capabilities required; Manipulative skills, including finger and manual dexterity; Adept hand‑eye coordination and arm‑hand steadiness; Ability to thoroughly interpret production or engineering prints, production planning information and assembly aids such as illustrations and wiring diagrams; Ability to work well in a moderate to high paced work environment in a high volume setting
  • Education/Certification : High School diploma or equivalent; Fine soldering certificate or equivalent experience
  • Eligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • IPC Soldering and/or Rework/Repair Certification
  • Ability to coach and mentor
  • Experience maintaining equipment on a stringent calibration schedule
Working Conditions:
  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
  • May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
  • May require occasional travel to support customer
