Qualifications

• Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Dexterity, attention to detail, electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read technical drawings and wire lists.
• Capable with common hand tools and laboratory equipment.
• Able to perform complex assignments with minimal direction.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and BOM reading.
• Familiar with crimping, soldering, and connector tooling.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains electrical wiring systems and harnesses by following blueprints and schematics.
• Assemble cables, harnesses, chassis, PCBs; mechanical assembly of panels, LRUs, batteries, and servo motors.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble assemblies or subassemblies.
• Repair wiring assemblies and solder components to IPC610 class 3 requirements.
• Build cables meeting IPC620 Class 3 requirements.
• Follow methods and sequences for wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing.
• Read and comprehend assembly drawings or written instructions.
• Obtain measurements with tapes, calipers, etc.; crimp terminals onto wires with tooling.
• Label assemblies per drawings; perform 5s housekeeping and cleanup.
• Work overtime/weekends as needed; travel as required.
