Job summary

Northrop Grumman Amherst Systems in Buffalo, NY is seeking an Assembly 3 to join our team focused on developing and producing state-of-the-art simulation systems.

You will assemble electronic components, perform soldering and wire harness work, and collaborate with engineers and technicians while adhering to safety and quality standards. Qualifications

• 4 years of assembly or electronic experience or an associate degree in electronics/technical discipline.
• Experience soldering at a Class 2 level.
• Ability to read and follow written directions and drawings.
• Ability to move objects weighing up to 40 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic components per drawings and job aids.
• Perform fine-pitch soldering, BGA rework, and microelectronics assembly as needed.
• Ensure all assembly work meets industry and company standards.
• Perform in-process and final inspections and address nonconformances.
• Operate basic production equipment safely (soldering stations, crimp tools, microscopes, ovens).
• Record production data in travelers and shop floor systems.
