Job summary

AutoStore is seeking an Electronics and Firmware Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team focused on vision, IoT, and embedded electronics. You will build firmware integrations between hardware and software, participate in hardware selection, and ensure robust performance across iterations.

Responsibilities include collaborating with product management, evaluating new ideas, and developing solutions that meet customer needs while building IP and partnering with tech teams.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years of experience delivering embedded solutions.
• Proficiency with Git, Embedded C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with firmware for resource-constrained devices.
• Experience writing unit tests.
• Familiar with Embedded Linux based designs.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong communication skills across teams.

This role is focused on building firmware integrations between hardware and software components. The Electronics and Firmware Engineer will also be involved in hardware selection, compensating for environmental factors, and ensuring the system runs well in all iterations.Key Tasks and Responsibilities:Part of a multi-disciplinary group of engineers to develop innovative embedded solutionsWork closely with Product Management to understand the customer needs and deliver solutions that meet those needsEvaluate technical feasibility of new ideas and guide engineering trade offsEvaluate potential solutions for compatibility with system requirements by working across teams and culturesConvert ideas, technologies, and insights from concepts into commercialized solutions that align to customer needsDevelop IP for AutoStoreBuild relationships with tech partnersKey Qualifications:1 - 5 years of experience in delivering embedded solutions for customers (areas of relevance robotics, IoT, electronics, embedded systems, advanced sensing, vision, AI & physical AI, etc)Strong proficiency with Git, Embedded C/C++ and PythonExperience with developing firmware for resource constrained devicesExperience writing unit testsStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Familiar with design tools, processes and techniques to deliver solutions on scheduleKnowledge of Embedded Linux based designsExperience with Agile development methodologiesExperience with using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.Ability to develop solutions from concept to launch creating detailed designsAbility to partner with other experts internally to deliver a complete solutionExcellent communication skills across organizational levelsFamiliar with Project Management conceptsBachelor’s or Masters' degree in Electronics, Cybernetics/Robotics, Embedded Systems, or a related fieldWe Offer:AutoStore believes in taking care of employees and is dedicated to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
