A 4+ year background in electronics production and J-STD-001/IPC certifications are preferred; U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance may be required.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in electronics assembly or soldering.
  • Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent desired.
  • J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications desired.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and production quality standards desired.
  • Hands-on experience with electronic production and testing equipment desired.
  • Experience in cable assembly, soldering, or related roles.

Responsibilities

  • Join engineers to migrate capabilities from lab to deliverable products.
  • Assemble and join cables and connectors using soldering techniques; ensure reliable connections.
  • Build cable assemblies following production and quality standards; may include potting or encapsulation.
  • Work with engineers to design, build, and test custom electronic solutions.
  • Interpret schematics and perform soldering of fine-pitch components.

Resonant Sciences LLC has an immediate opening for a Electronics and Cable Soldering Technician to join our Dayton, Ohio team. The position provides an opportunity to join a fast-paced elite team whose primary mission is to support our Nation's War Fighters. The candidate for this position shall be a self-starter who can work independently, unsupervised, and with little guidance. The candidate will have an opportunity to be a member of a world-class team consisting of talented and dedicated engineers, technicians, and professionals who work together to interrupt and challenge the status quo to design and develop state-of-the-art technologies.

Position Overview

We are seeking an Electronics and Cable Soldering Technician with education and experience in electronic fundamentals to work in a fast-paced electronic assembly and laboratory developing, building, and testing custom electronic systems.

Essential Functions
  • Work with engineers experienced in electronic design and testing to migrate capabilities from a lab environment to deliverable custom products.
  • Responsible for joining and assembling cables and connectors using soldering techniques, ensuring high-quality, reliable electrical connections.
  • Build cable assemblies following production and quality standards; may include potting or encapsulation for protection
  • Work with electronic engineers to design, build, and test custom electronic solutions.
  • Proficient with electronic schematics and soldering (hot air or iron soldering of 0201 size or smaller electronics components).
  • Work efficiently in an environment without the need for regular, direct oversight.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Citizenship/Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance required. Active clearance preferred.
