Job summary

AQR Capital Management in New York seeks an Electronic Trading Analyst focused on transaction cost analysis, execution measurement, and market structure. You will work as both trader and analyst, studying execution performance across asset classes and identifying opportunities to reduce costs.

The role requires 1–3 years in trading analytics, a STEM or quantitative degree, strong statistics, and experience with AI tools and large data sets.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of relevant trading, electronic execution, or trading analytics experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Finance, Economics or related quantitative field.
• Strong foundation in statistics, probability and quantitative analysis, with experience leveraging AI tools and technologies and working with large data sets.
• Understand transaction cost analysis, execution measurement, market structure, liquidity and the factors that drive transaction costs.
• Exposure to electronic execution, trading algorithms and broker/venue analysis.
• Cash equity experience; familiarity across multiple electronically traded asset classes a plus.
• Knowledge of systematic investing principles and techniques a plus.

Responsibilities

• Join team as Electronic Trading Analyst focused on transaction cost analysis, execution measurement, electronic trading and market structure.
• Analyze execution performance across asset classes and identify opportunities to improve trading outcomes.
• Build analytical tools from large trading datasets and translate findings into improvements in execution strategy and trading workflows.
• Collaborate with traders and researchers to optimize algorithm selection and parameters.
