Job summary

CACI is seeking an Electronics Test Technician for the 2nd shift in Orlando to build, align, and test high precision electro-optical and mechanical systems for Space/Satellite programs.

You will develop test fixtures, follow procedures, and document results while collaborating with test engineers in a cleanroom environment with strict safety and ESD controls.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of related experience (or equivalent combination with education).
  • Testing custom electromechanical, electronic, fiber optic, and laser assemblies.
  • Working with PCBA testing.
  • Understanding of electrical engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of fiber optics and laser operation/safety.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions.
  • Proficiency with test equipment: Multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies.
  • Function generators, optical power meters.
  • Fiber optic test equipment, laser sources.
  • Optical spectrum analyzers (OSA), BERT scope.

Responsibilities

  • Test PCBA, fiber/laser optic assemblies, and electrical hardware.
  • Perform electrical, fiber optic, and laser testing and characterization.
  • Follow test procedures and maintain detailed documentation.
  • Document test failures in reporting systems.
  • Support cleanroom test equipment maintenance.

The Opportunity

CAC I is seeking an Electronics Test Technician who can serve as a skilled technical specialist to build, align, and test high precision Electro-Optical and Mechanical systems in support of production Space/Satellite programs and support engineers in the development of test and alignment fixtures and tools.

Project Focus

Testing components for Space Flight Optical Inter Satellite Link Terminals

WORK ENVIRONMENT

A Cleanroom environment requiring safety precautions

ESD and FOD controlled areas

Independent work with technical documentation

Collaboration with test engineers

Responsibilities

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$39,400 - $75,900
