Job summary

The Opportunity

ACI is seeking an Electronics Test Technician who can serve as a skilled technical specialist to build, align and test high precision Electro-Optical and mechanical systems in support of production Space/Satellite programs and aid engineers in the development of test and alignment fixtures and tools.

Project Focus: Testing components for Space Flight Optical Inter Satellite Link Terminals

Work Environment

• Cleanroom environment requiring safety precautions
• ESD and FOD controlled areas
• Independent work with technical documentation
• Collaboration with test engineers

Responsibilities

• Test PCBA, fiber/laser optic assemblies, and electrical hardware
• Perform electrical, fiber optic, and laser testing and characterization
• Follow test procedures and maintain detailed documentation
• Document test failures in reporting systems
• Support cleanroom test equipment maintenance
• Assist engineers in improving test procedures

Qualifications

Required:

• 5 years of related experience (or equivalent combination with education)
• Testing custom electromechanical, electronic, fiber optic, and laser assemblies
• Working with PCBA testing
• Understanding of electrical engineering principles
• Knowledge of fiber optics and laser operation/safety
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions

Proficiency With Test Equipment
