Job summary

MPI in Ohio is seeking an Electronics Test Engineer to support development and improvement of an innovative product line. You will handle testing, design verification, and engineering change activities to ensure reliability and performance.

Join a team with expertise in nuclear instrumentation and radiation detection, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and quality. Read schematics, develop test plans, and contribute to continuous improvement while advancing safety and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a related field. An Associate degree combined with strong hands‑on electronics experience will also be considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in electronics testing, design, applications engineering, product validation, reliability engineering, or a similar technical role.
  • Strong hands‑on experience working with electronic circuits, laboratory test equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
  • Experience supporting product validation, qualification testing, design updates, and engineering change activities.
  • Proven ability to develop, execute, document, and analyze formal test procedures and test results.
  • Familiarity with component obsolescence management, root cause analysis, and continuous product improvement initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering documentation systems.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and solve technical problems in a hands‑on manufacturing environment.

  • Develop, execute, and document test plans to validate product performance, functionality, and reliability.
  • Identify obsolete components and assist with engineering change notices (ECNs) and product updates.
  • Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Troubleshoot electronic systems and provide support to production testing and assembly teams.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality personnel.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as required.
