Job summary

O-I’s Auburn facility is seeking an Electronic Technician to support glassware inspection systems and related tech, including robotics, vision systems, PLCs, and other manufacturing equipment.

The incumbent will troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical systems, monitor machine performance and adjust controls as needed, leveraging blueprints and electrical diagrams. This role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

Qualifications

• 2 year degree in Electrical Technology OR 3 years experience in an Industrial Electrician or similar position.
• Completion of the NY State Certified Apprenticeship program
• Previous experience with PLCs, servo controls and vision systems is
• Able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair complete systems, including vision systems, servo controls, instrumentation and machine controls
• Repair all electrical or electronic equipment and component parts
• Monitor inspection machine performance and make adjustments where necessary
