Job summary

Obsidian Solutions Group LLC is seeking an Electronics Technician Maintenance II to support Marine Corps and driving simulators at Marine Corps Base Hawaii. You will apply basic to advanced technical knowledge to interpret manuals, plan work, and select tools with compliance to practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus vocational training.
• Preferred: Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field.
• Prior military experience required.
• Experience as staff/instructor.
• Familiarity with devices such as ODS.
• Knowledge of simulations and MS Office.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing clearly.

Responsibilities

• Reference training manuals to determine instruction courses for simulators.
• Incorporate new training and changes into simulator training.
• Set up instruction sites for training and prepare handouts.
• Prepare training systems for operations and perform shutdown tasks after training.
• Perform PMCS and operator-level repairs; report maintenance issues.
• Assist in system testing events and identify system failures.
• Use test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, logic analyzers, sine wave generators, fiber optic test equipment.
• Perform related collateral duties as required.

Electronic Technician- Maintenance II

Job Summary

Provide contractor logistic support (CLS) for Marine Corps and Driving Simulators. The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This offer is available contingent upon contract award.

Specific Responsibilities

• Reference training manuals to determine the course of instruction and follow lesson plans for various simulators
• Incorporate new training and changes into simulator training
• Set up instruction sites for training and prepare and print handouts for students
• Prepare training systems for operations, operate training systems IAW training system O&M manuals, technical manuals, and drawings; perform shutdown tasks at the end of training
• Perform PMCS and Operator-level repairs as required; report maintenance issues to the appropriate repair facility
• Assist in system testing events and provide expertise in identifying and demonstrating system failure issues, operation, or operator failures
• Use various test equipment such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, logic analyzers, sine wave generators, fiber optic test equipment, and other special test equipment
• Perform related collateral duties as required

Required Qualifications

Education

• Minimum: High School Diploma or GED plus vocational training (Military Technical School or certificate program)
• Preferred: Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Industrial Electronics

Experience

• Prior military experience required
• Experience as staff/instructor
• Familiarity with devices such as ODS
• Knowledge in simulations and MS Office
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in a clear and concise manner
• Working knowledge/understanding of military protocol/chain of command
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships, professional demeanor, and attitude; ability to work cooperatively with military and civilian workforce
• Background in or working knowledge of Military Operations, Training Development, Doctrine Development, or Combat Development (Desired)

• MATV/JLTV/LVSR Operations and Maintenance Course
