Qualifications

  • At least five years of electronics/electronics security systems experience.
  • Broad technical knowledge of electronic equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot to discrete-component level.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check.
  • Ability to meet short deadlines and work extended or nonstandard schedules.
  • Thorough understanding of USMC maintenance standards.

  • Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, modify, and install electronic equipment and related devices.
  • Apply electronics principles to identify equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to normal operation.
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on training systems and system components.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures down to the discrete-component level.
  • Evaluate equipment and overall system performance following repairs.
  • Implement quality-control and review procedures throughout maintenance and reporting activities.
  • Document maintenance actions in the applicable Management Information System.
  • Complete maintenance records, logbooks, inventories, and equipment-status documentation.
  • Operate and support current and future simulation software and hardware used by the Mission Training Complex.
  • Prepare usage and maintenance information for inclusion in the program manager’s monthly reports.
  • Support exercise operations and shifts occurring outside normal working hours, including 24/7 operations when required.
  • Work in office, warehouse, and outdoor field environments under varying weather conditions.

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to pass a background investigation.
  • Ability to meet short deadlines and work extended or nonstandard schedules.
Preferred qualifications
  • Completion of a two-year or four-year electronic-technician program at an accredited technical school or university; or
  • Equivalent military electronics education and experience.
Physical requirements
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Walk, bend, push, pull, stand, sit, kneel, crawl, and reach.
  • Climb small stepladders up to 10 feet.
  • Perform duties in office, warehouse, and outdoor field conditions.
