Job summary

Sharp Packaging Solutions, part of UDG Healthcare plc, is seeking an Electronic Technician Level 1 to respond to line calls, perform PMs, troubleshoot equipment with schematics, and minimize downtime in a GMP manufacturing setting.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree in Electronics, PLC experience, vision systems (Cognex), serialization systems (Systech), and strong communication and documentation skills; overtime on weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Electronics.
• Experience with PLC programs.
• Experience with Vision inspection systems and control circuits.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Robotics and programming is a plus.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code.
• Experience adhering to CGMP regulations.
• Have good communication skills oral and written.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently respond to line calls and conduct PMs on a regular basis.
• Always maintains safe work practices.
• Must be competent in troubleshooting all equipment on site with electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Evaluate equipment malfunctions with a sense of urgency to minimize downtime.
• Must be able to maintain a log/work sheet of equipment repairs and problems.
• Must be competent in the use of all plant electrical test equipment.
• Must be able to set up line equipment and vision systems in accordance with a Master Production Record.
• Able to follow and understand production procedures, good documentation practices, and Work instructions.
• Setup, maintain and troubleshoot Cognex Vision Systems.
• Setup, maintain and troubleshoot Systech Serialization Systems.
• Install or assist in the installation of new equipment, including proper layout and alignment.
• Must assist all other maintenance personnel in the event of a major plant breakdown.
• Must be able to work overtime on weekends.
