Job summary

Southwire Company in Carrollton, GA is seeking an Electronic Technician to support our manufacturing operations by performing preventive maintenance on motors, conveyor systems and production equipment while prioritizing reliability and safety. You will troubleshoot electronic and digital equipment, read schematics, use PLC logic, and work with metering tools in a fast-paced plant environment.

A high school diploma is required, a technical degree is preferred, and experience with CMMS, Excel and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Technical degree preferred.
• Strong electronic background and manufacturing experience.
• Must have computer skills (Microsoft Office, CMMS, Excel).
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and OEM manuals.
• Experience with test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes).
• Able to read precision measuring devices and work in fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using systematic methods.
• Perform preventive maintenance on motors, conveyors and production machinery.
• Repair electronic and digital equipment, including AC/DC motors and controls.
• Analyze faults in relay logic and motor circuits.
• Access PLC logic to troubleshoot production equipment.
• Replace failed parts and recalibrate equipment to spec.
• Adjust equipment to meet operating specifications.
• Document maintenance data for historical records.
