Responsibilities

As an Electronic Technician 1, you will be responsible for maintaining PacifiCorp's communication systems, including voice and data communication systems, telephone systems, PBX's, DCS, microwave radio systems, land mobile radio systems, SCADA systems, power line carrier equipment, telemetry, fiber optics/lightwave, and related switching and termination equipment. You will also install, test, and certify this equipment. Off-road travel in extreme weather conditions may be required. You will typically work independently but may collaborate with other personnel and supervise an Electronic Technician Assistant. You are responsible for company-provided vehicles, tools, and materials.

Minimum Requirements

• At least two years of experience as an Electronic Technician in a power utility environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Pass journeyman-level written and practical tests
• FCC GROL License with elements 1 and 3
