Overview:

Participate in theDesignsanddevelopsofall aspects of electrical control systems,equipmentand machinery.Provide supportfor the installation and technical support of PLC based hardware.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop andmaintaina high levelof knowledge of wire andcable equipment and processes.
  • Support the maintenance department in electrical/electronic systems troubleshooting.
  • Provide technicalsupportand direction to the maintenance department formaintainingelectrical and electronic equipment in a manner whichoptimizesoperational performance and safety.
  • Managesmallassignedprojects which include cost estimations, designs, specifications, approvals, procurement, installation, startup, cost control,safetyand overall implementation to achieve Plant and organizationalobjectives.
  • Supportoutsourcedrepairs of critical electronic components.
  • Adhere to all Corporate and Plant practices and policies in all aspects of work and ensure compliance with Federal,Stateand local electrical codes, and regulations.
  • Partner with Electrical Engr. and Controls Engr.in theDevelopment, writing, and de-buggingcontrol logic for machine control, make design modifications and improvementsto complex electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment.
  • Analyze and interpret electrical schematics to thecomponentlevel asrequiredto make repairs and return equipment to operation.
  • Utilize programming devices to analyze P.L.C. programs for failures or improvements.Maintain detailed records of critical process variables and ensure that programs are logical and as comprehensible as possible.
  • Supporttheelectriciansin troubleshooting, repair and program AC/DC drive systemsincluding off-shifts and weekends.
  • Troubleshoot issuesutilizingcurrent technology including electrical test equipment and computer diagnosis equipment.
  • Maintainexisting documentation andensure information isaccessibleto other team members.
  • ParticipatewithOperations to solve manufacturing problems,initiateproductivity improvements, andidentifyfuture opportunities for the overall continual improvement of the Sedalia operation.
  • Liaison with Engineering and Maintenance Team.
  • Perform other related duties as per direction of theManagerand the Coordinator.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Advanced computer skills required including PLC programming and CAD. (Experience with Wonderwarea plus).
  • Understanding types of communication, DH+, Serial (Rs232, RS485) ControlNet,DeviceNet,EtherNet.
  • Ability to understand routing, gateways andVLan’s.
Qualifications:
  • Electrical/ElectronicsTechnician.
  • Minimum2years ofexperience inPLC, Drives, Programing in Industrial.
  • Maintenance(wire & cable experience highly desirable).
Work Environment/Physical Demands:

Will work in both factory and office conditions.
