Job summary

Prysmian in McKinney, Texas seeks an Electrical Supervisor to plan, schedule, and oversee the electrical staff across the campus. You will focus on production equipment troubleshooting and safe installation and repairs of facilities and machinery.

You will lead technicians, coordinate with Safety, Engineering, and Maintenance, and ensure arc flash PPE, backups of PLC/HMI programs, and electrical documentation to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or electrical manufacturing environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with PLC and HMI troubleshooting with programming ability.
• Experience with AC/DC drives (VFD) diagnostics, troubleshooting and programming.
• Experience with AC/DC motor troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings, schematics, manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Solid computer proficiency including email, MS Office, and electronic maintenance tools.
• Experience using CMMS to manage maintenance work orders.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, mechanical and other departments to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical technicians during your shift, assigning tasks and ensuring material availability.
• Periodically check work in progress and provide troubleshooting guidance as needed.
• Coordinate with Safety Team to ensure equipment meets safety requirements.
• Ensure electrical safety and documentation compliance, including PPE, backups, and program files.
• Manage and maintain machine software libraries and documentation.
• Collaborate with other departments to minimize downtime and improve reliability.

Position Summary:

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for planning, scheduling and overseeing the work of the Electrical Staff based on Operational priorities and generated work orders; to ensure safe and efficient installation and repairs of facilities and machinery throughout the entire campus. The Electrical Supervisor is primarily focused on production equipment troubleshooting and repairs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to oversee electrical technicians during the course of your shift. Communicate assignments and major tasks to the electrical team, making sure they have all the materials and instructions necessary to complete work assignments safely, completely and correctly.
• Periodically check work in progress of each technician and provide immediate assistance and troubleshooting instruction as needed
• Work with the Safety Team to ensure all Encore’s equipment meets safety requirements.
• Responsible for electrical safety and documentation compliance, including:
• Maintaining Arc Flash PPE and inventory
• Ensuring machine backups, PLC programs, HMI files, VFD parameters and electrical prints are current and properly stored
• Managing and maintaining machine software libraries

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or electrical manufacturing environments
• Strong hands-on expertise with:
• PLC and HMI troubleshooting with the ability to program both.
• AC/DC drives (VFD) diagnostics, troubleshooting and programming
• AC/DC motor troubleshooting
• Demonstrates the ability to communicate skills related to motion controllers and motors, with knowledge of Kinetix 5700 platforms being a beneficial addition.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings, schematics, manuals, and manufacturer specifications
• Solid computer proficiency, including email, MS Office, and electronic maintenance/communication tools
• Experience using CMMS
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with production, engineering, mechanical and other departments to reduce downtime and improve reliability
