Job summary

Prysmian Group in McKinney, Texas is seeking an Electrical Supervisor to lead the electrical staff on production equipment while ensuring safe, efficient installation and repairs across the campus.

You will oversee shift technicians, assign tasks with the right materials, mentor troubleshooters, and partner with Safety to keep equipment in compliance. Strong PLC/HMI, drives, motor knowledge and CMMS experience are essential to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or electrical manufacturing environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with PLC and HMI troubleshooting, with programming ability.
• AC/DC drives (VFD) diagnostics, troubleshooting and programming.
• AC/DC motor troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of motion controllers and motors, with Kinetix 5700 knowledge a plus.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
• Solid computer proficiency including MS Office and CMMS.
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with production, engineering, mechanical and other departments to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical technicians during the course of your shift, assigning tasks and ensuring materials, instructions, and safety.
• Periodically check work in progress and provide troubleshooting guidance.
• Work with Safety Team to ensure equipment meets safety requirements.
• Maintain electrical safety and documentation, including PPE, backups, PLC/HMI files, and library management.

Position Summary

The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for planning, scheduling and overseeing the work of the Electrical Staff based on Operational priorities and generated work orders; to ensure safe and efficient installation and repairs of facilities and machinery throughout the entire campus. The Electrical Supervisor is primarily focused on production equipment troubleshooting and repairs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to oversee electrical technicians during the course of your shift. Communicate assignments and major tasks to the electrical team, making sure they have all the materials and instructions necessary to complete work assignments safely, completely and correctly.
• Periodically check work in progress of each technician and provide immediate assistance and troubleshooting instruction as needed
• Work with the Safety Team to ensure all Encore’s equipment meets safety requirements.
• Responsible for electrical safety and documentation compliance, including:
  • Maintaining Arc Flash PPE and inventory.
  • Ensuring machine backups, PLC programs, HMI files, VFD parameters and electrical prints are current and properly stored.
  • Managing and maintaining machine software libraries.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or electrical manufacturing environments.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with:
  • PLC and HMI troubleshooting with the ability to program both.
  • AC/DC drives (VFD) diagnostics, troubleshooting and programming.
  • AC/DC motor troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate skills related to motion controllers and motors, with knowledge of Kinetix 5700 platforms being a beneficial addition.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings, schematics, manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
• Solid computer proficiency, including email, MS Office, and electronic maintenance/communication tools.
• Experience using CMMS.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with production, engineering, mechanical and other departments to reduce downtime and improve reliability.
