Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Electronic Technician to support the integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ground-based communications and C4I systems for the U.S. Navy.

This hands-on, customer-facing role requires independent work and team collaboration to ensure reliable communications for mission operations. You will install, check, and maintain systems such as SINCGARS, SATCOM/MUOS, HF radios, and Blue Force Tracker, providing on-site support for service calls and documenting

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 2+ years of work experience.
• Experience with military communication systems including SINCGARS, SATCOM/MUOS, HF radios, and BFT/JBC-P/MFoCS.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, integrate, and maintain ground-based communications and C4I systems.
• Perform operational checks to ensure performance and serviceability.
• Provide on-site technical support and diagnose/repair issues.

SAIC is seeking an experienced Electronic Technician to support the integration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ground-based communications and C4I systems for the U.S. Navy. This role is hands-on, customer-facing, and essential to ensuring reliable communications for mission operations. You will work both independently and as part of a field support team, supporting equipment installation, system checks, and on-site technical assistance.

Job Duties:

• Assemble, install, integrate, and maintain a variety of ground-based communications and C4I systems.
• Perform operational checks and ensure systems meet performance and serviceability standards.
• Work with Single-Channel radios, Vehicle Intercom Systems (VIS), Degraded Visual Environment systems, Blue Force Tracker systems, and other tactical communications hardware.
• Support SATCOM, SINCGARS, MUOS, HF, and related communication systems.
• Provide on-site technical support for scheduled and unscheduled service calls.
• Diagnose issues, complete repairs, and document solutions.
• Coordinate with SAIC supervisors and customer stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements and deliverables.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma with at least two (2) or more years of work experience.
• Experience working with military communication systems, to include at least some of the following:
  • SINCGARS
  • SATCOM / MUOS / Integrated Waveform
  • HF radios
  • Blue Force Tracker / JBC-P / MFoCS
  • Vehicle Intercom Systems (VIS)
  • JCREW I1B1
  • DVE systems

Required Security clearance:

• Public Trust required upon hire; Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous field service or C4I systems experience
• Experience supporting tactical communications in military environments
• Formal electronics training from a Technical School or military Class A/B electronics or communications program

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
