With over 50 years in business, the company offers solutions ranging from overvoltage braking systems, including braking transistors, resistors, and line regeneration, to undervoltage solutions such as UPD uninterruptible power for drives. Additional offerings include single- and three-phase power supplies and portable capacitor formers, supporting a wide variety of applications. Bonitron regularly engineers and releases new products, giving team members exposure to diverse technologies and custom solutions. The company focuses on helping customers optimize systems using variable frequency drives (VFDs) and related equipment.
Role Description The Electronic Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Nashville, TN. This position is responsible for assembling, testing, and repairing electronic components and systems used in Bonitron’s product lines. Daily tasks include circuit board assembly and soldering, performing diagnostics on equipment, troubleshooting electrical and electronic issues, and documenting test results and repairs. The Electronic Technician will also support maintenance activities on production and test equipment, follow safety and quality standards, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve product performance and reliability.
Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Electronics Technology and Electricity, with the ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documentation.
  • Proficient Soldering skills for through-hole and surface-mount components, including rework and repair.
  • Demonstrated Troubleshooting skills for electronic circuits, power supplies, and drive-related equipment.
  • Experience in Maintenance & Repair of electronic assemblies, test fixtures, and related tools.
  • Attention to detail, commitment to quality, and adherence to safety procedures in a manufacturing or lab environment.
  • Ability to use standard test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies) and maintain accurate records.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering and production functions.
  • Relevant technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience in electronics or a related field; prior experience in power electronics or industrial controls is a plus.
