Job Description:
Performs a variety of calibration and some basic repair functions on a variety of customer Electronic Test & Measurement Equipment to required specifications in accordance with required ANSI, Military, Federal, and Manufacturer Specifications. Our customer base covers the Aerospace, Automotive, Defense, Medical, and General Manufacturing sectors. Due to the nature of the electronic equipment being serviced, a portion of the work is performed at the customer’s facilities. Company vehicles, laptop computers and other necessary tools are provided. Although the majority of the on-site work is performed locally, some minimal overnight travel is required at prescheduled times of the year. QCS covers all appropriate travel expenses. Overnight travel is well planned in advance. Other work is performed in our climate-controlled, state-of-the-art metrology laboratory environment.
Job Duties (include but not limited to):
All work is performed in accordance with specific procedures that comply with various standards and specifications. Calibration data is collected from the customers' instruments using specific QCS Electronic standards (Predominantly, Fluke Calibration Standards). Data is analyzed and entered into a database for long form calibration certificates. When necessary, appropriate adjustments are made to bring the instruments in tolerance. Requires appropriate knowledge of electronic principles as it relates to the operation and functionality of the equipment and applicable standards. Must be able to follow and understand the calibration procedures & techniques while possessing the appropriate analytical abilities.
