Job summary

Alaris mWave is seeking a hands-on Electronic Tech & Assembler to join the RF product development team. You will build, tune, and test antennas, perform far-field measurements, and document procedures with precision. You’ll own projects from bench to report and plan your own range time with team support.

Qualifications

  • High School or GED required.
  • AS EET or military RF training recommended.
  • 2 years in a production environment preferred; forklift licence is a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word; MATLAB basics.

Responsibilities

  • Keep the lab organised and clean.
  • Organise tools, toolboxes, components and parts.
  • Calibrate equipment and keep detailed notes.
  • Document tuning methods and procedures.
  • Assist with antenna assembly and prototype testing.
  • Perform bench S parameter measurements and report results.
  • Prepare and maintain test reports and procedures.

Job description

Alaris mWave is looking for a hands on, detail driven Electronic Tech & Assembler to join our RF product development team. Working at the heart of our antenna lab, you will build, tune and test the antennas that keep critical wireless networks connected. From cable assembly and prototype build to far field chamber measurements and pattern annotation, you will own your projects from bench to report, with the autonomy to plan your own range time and the support of a team that takes pride in precision. BASIC REQUIREMENTS

Education

High School / GED

Education, suggested

AS EET or military RF training

2 years

Nature of experience

Production environment experience; a forklift licence is an advantage

Intermediate MS Excel and MS Word

MATLAB; a basic understanding of computer hardware

Language

KEY PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Keep the lab organised and clean
  • Organise tools, toolboxes, components and parts
  • Take responsibility for equipment and ensure it is calibrated
  • Keep detailed notes on tuning methods and procedures
  • Assist with antenna assembly
  • Assist with building prototypes and testing
  • Bench S parameter measurements
  • Keep detailed notes of setups and procedures

Antenna Measurement

  • Antenna measurement in the chamber
  • Far field measurements (gain, patterns, cross pole, etc.) on the far field range
  • Assist with the development of documented test procedures

Reporting and Writing

  • Assist with report writing

Project Execution

  • Range preparation and setup with minimal direction, often autonomously
  • Execute projects and tasks with minimal direction and oversight
  • Own your projects and tasks

Ad Hoc

  • Any other duties as required by management
