Job summary

Vector Security, Inc. is hiring an Electronic Systems Technician to install and service residential and small to mid-sized commercial accounts in Homewood, AL. You will wire, program panels, and set up systems while explaining operations to customers.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and solid communication skills to deliver superb service and mentorship to junior technicians.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years of industry experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving history.
• Completion of minimum training/certification checklist per Technician Career Path.
• Must communicate professionally to provide superior customer service.
• Ability to understand technical functionality of various systems learned online or hands-on.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot basic systems of assigned types.
• Utilize skills in wiring, panel programming, and system setup.
• Check for and correct errors in work and paperwork.

Summary:

As an Electronic Systems Technician you will be responsible for the i nstallation and/or servicing of residential systems and small to mid-sized commercial accounts . Responsibilities include knowledge of b asic wiring and panel programming, system set-up , basic troubleshooting, and explanation of system to customer with ability to answer questions

Responsibilities:

• Install/service residential systems and/or small to mid-sized commercial accounts:
  • Accurately c omplete installations and/or servicing with frequent to minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoot basic systems of assigned types.
  • Utilize skills inbasic wiring,panel programming,andsystem set-up.
  • Check for, and correct, any errors in work and paperwork.
  • Display professionalism when interacting with and communicating with peers,manager, and customers.
• Train and mentor technicians:
  • Review work ofEntryLevel technicianson shared jobsiteand provide training to correct any errors.
