Vector Security is seeking an Electronic Systems Technician in Columbia, MD with on-the-road responsibilities. You will install and service residential systems and small to mid-sized commercial accounts, handle basic wiring and panel programming, and set up systems while explaining features to customers.

You will mentor EntryLevel technicians, ensure quality workmanship, and maintain professional communication with peers, managers, and customers.

Summary:

As an Electronic Systems Technician you will be responsible for the i nstallation and/or servicing of residential systems and small to mid-sized commercial accounts . Responsibilities include knowledge of b asic wiring and panel programming, system set-up , basic troubleshooting, and explanation of system to customer with ability to answer questions

What You’ll Do:

• Install/service residential systems and/or small to mid-sized commercial accounts:
  • Accurately c omplete installations and/or servicing with frequent to minimal supervision.
  • Troubleshoot basic systems of assigned types.
  • Utilize skills inbasic wiring,panel programming,andsystem set-up.
  • Check for, and correct, any errors in work and paperwork.
  • Display professionalism when interacting with and communicating with peers,manager, and customers.
• Train and mentor technicians:
  • Review work ofEntryLevel technicianson shared jobsiteand provide training to correct any errors.

What You’ll Need:

• HS diploma or equivalent -required.
• 1 - 3 years of industry experience - preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving history.
• Completion of minimum training/certification checklist required per Technician Career Path.
• Communication:
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with various individuals in a professional mannerin order toprovide superior customer service.
• Technical:
  • Must be able to understandtechnicalfunctionality of various systems learned on-line and/or via hands-on instruction.
