Job summary

Evolver is seeking an Electronic Security Technician (Level II) to install and test CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems across the United States. You will use plans and specs, and work with hand and power tools, aiming to achieve multi-manufacturer certifications.

This role requires traveling up to three weeks per month, lifting 50 lbs, and working safely at height. A High School diploma or GED and a valid driver's license are required, with a strong safety record.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of direct work experience with electronic security systems and installation of systems.
• 2 years demonstrated ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• 2 years hands-on experience commissioning and programming security or access control systems (AMAG, Bosch, DMP, Gallagher, Hirsch, Lenel).
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and work at heights up to 60 feet.
• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, troubleshoot CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems and cabling.
• Install low voltage cable, cable tray, panels, and enclosures.
• Follow safety policies and procedures on site.
• Plan and organize project work to meet contract requirements.
• Assist in resolving scope conflicts with the Project Manager.
• Complete service tickets and surveys in detail.

Evolver is seeking an Electronic Security Technician (Level II) to provide Electronic Security Systems installations of security equipment and cabling in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, customer and industry standards. As a technician Level II you should have the work experience installing basic equipment which involves using hand tools and power tools, a basic understanding of Security Systems including CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems, blueprints and knowledge of codes and standards. Technician shall make every effort to become certified in multiple manufacturers systems.

This role requires travelling 3 weeks per month to various sites around the US

Responsibilities

• Installation, terminating, testing, troubleshooting CCTV, access control and intrusion detection systems, cabling and associated equipment
• Installvarious typesofLow Voltage Cable, Cable Tray, Panels, and Enclosures
• Knowledge of security-based systems and installation of those systems except for integrated programming
• Knowledgeandsafeuseof hand tools and various power tools
• Ensure compliance withSafetyPolicies andProcedures
• Plan and organize project work to assure all work is in place in accordance with contract requirements.
• Assist in resolution of scope conflicts in coordination with the Project Manager
• Perform assigned tasks as required to complete service calls including but not limited to troubleshooting, equipment replacement, basic system programming, installation coordination, system, commissioning, and closeout assistance
• Ensures work performed complies with state, local and Federal legal requirements.
• Performs site-specific training for owner operator on the total system in full or with assistance. Ensures owner operator has been trained. Provides proper documentation and manuals for system operation
• Completes service tickets and surveys in a detailed manner
• Technician must be able to train and supervise entry and Tech level 1 personnel in a team environment tofacilitate installing cable from equipment roomstofield devices while following drawings and run
• Lists to ensure cables are installed methodically and arranged in proper bundles for ease of dressing and termination

Basic Qualifications

• Up to85%travel which may be for extended periods.
• Must be able to pass and maintain a USG security clearance/background check
• Minimum of 2 years of direct work experience with electronic security systems and installation of systems
• 2 Years of demonstrated experience with ability to read and understanding plans and specifications
• 2 years technical hands-on experience in commissioning and programming security or access control systems. Relevant systems include but not limited AMAG, Bosch, DMP, Gallagher, Hirsch, Lenel, etc.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs, work at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders
• Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis
• High School diploma orGEDis required
• Must have an excellent safety record, a valid driver'slicense,and clean driving record in order to meet corporate eligibility requirements to drive a company owned vehicle as necessary

Preferred Qualifications

• Electronics Certification from an accredited Technical School or equivalent military training.
• Certifications or classroom training and experience with fiber and networks, as well as a working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft programs and databases strongly preferred.
• Consistently report to work on time, work well with other to accomplish a common goal and maintain a safe work environment
• Strong communications, time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives
