C.M. Armitage, Inc. in Rochester, NY is seeking a skilled low-voltage installer to install and test fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intercom, and cabling systems.

You’ll own projects from rough-in to final commissioning and read blueprints and project plans. The role requires 4+ years of low-voltage experience, strong wiring knowledge, blueprint literacy, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. A valid NYS driver’s license and reliable, professional conduct are essential for team coordination

Qualifications

• 4+ years in low-voltage install/service.
• Solid grasp of wiring methods, circuits, devices, and system components.
• Blueprint/schematic literacy and field layout skills.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving mindset.
• Valid NYS driver’s license; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install and test: fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intercom/communications, and structured cabling.
• Own the build from rough-in, trim, testing, and final commissioning.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and project plans.
• Troubleshoot and repair system issues efficiently.
• Close out service calls with complete, timely documentation.
• Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and customers.
• Work safely and follow all site protocols.
