As a Low Voltage field professional serving Rochester and surrounding areas, you’ll move from rough-in to final commissioning—bringing life-safety, access control, and security systems online with precision. You’ll collaborate with project managers and forepersons, keep customers informed, and close the day with well-documented service notes, all within a safety-first

Qualifications

• 4+ years of low-voltage experience (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of wiring methods, circuits, and system components.
• Hands-on experience with low-voltage cabling types and installation techniques.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work safely from ladders.
• Valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Read blueprints/schematics and translate them into field execution.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test low-voltage systems, including fire alarm, access control, security/CCTV, intercom, and structured cabling.
• Execute work across all phases—from rough-in to trim-out and final commissioning.
• Read and interpret blueprints, risers, schematics, and project plans.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair system issues in the field.
• Complete service calls and documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, foremen, and customers.
• Follow company safety protocols and jobsite requirements without exception.
