Job summary

PlanIT Group, LLC is seeking a Light Industrial - Assembler in Owego, NY to perform a range of assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical components. Work from diagrams, layouts, and utilize hand and power tools to build modules, boards, panels, frames, and cables.

The role includes continuity checks, potential quality inspections, and possible rework of prototype assemblies under guided specs. Training may be provided for bonding of metal/composite parts.

Qualifications

• Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
• Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
• May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
• May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies.
• Experience with Metal/Composite bonding is preferred; training available with prior manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies according to drawings and diagrams.
• Perform layout and assembly tasks using hand and power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Conduct basic quality checks and ensure compliance with specifications.
