Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Electronic Materials Failure Analysis Engineer within the EE Section of the Materials and Process Engineering Department. You will perform failure analysis and component evaluation on devices ranging from passive components to complex microcircuits.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science, hands-on experience with electrical test equipment, and the ability to document results and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Materials Science (emphasis on electronics)
• Experience with electrical test equipment such as DMM, curve tracer, parametric analyzers, multimeters, megohmmeters, etc.
• Academic experience with microcircuits, active & passive electrical components, or other electrical components and materials.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of electrical components including visual photo-documentation, electrical testing, non-destructive troubleshooting, environmental testing, x-ray evaluation, DPA and cross-sections
• Detailed documentation of results
• Learn and operate laboratory equipment such as microscopes, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, LCR meters, curve tracers, semiconductor parameter analyzers, signal generators, megohmmeters, bond tester, X-Ray, SScanning Acoustic Microscope, and others.
