Belcan Corporation in Raleigh, NC is seeking an Electronic Lab Technician IV for an immediate start. This 12‑month contract position focuses on high‑voltage lab safety, organizing equipment, and building and testing prototype devices.

Responsibilities include fabricating cable harnesses and connectors, calibrating lab instruments, troubleshooting prototypes, PCBA rework and soldering, and working with design engineers to validate high‑power electronics.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years experience.
• Read electronic schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Familiar with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies and other standard lab equipment.
• Able to work under dynamic, time-constraint, and multitasking conditions.
• Self-starter and always willing to learn.
• High sense of responsibility and urgency towards work assignments.

• Fabricate cable harnesses and connectors per voltage/current ratings.
• Manage and maintain lab equipment, instruments and tools.

This position is offering a pay rate of $30.59/hr. however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Job Description:

Lab safety:

• Experience and knowledge of high voltage safety (e.g. safety procedures/practices, PPE, etc.)
• Fabricate cable harnesses and connectors based on voltage and current ratings

Lab Organization:

• Manage and maintain lab equipment, instrument, and tools (e.g. hand and power tools)
• In charge of lab equipment calibration

Lab cleaning:

• Building and testing prototype devices
• Construct, test, and repair prototype devices under test, including cables and connectors
• Troubleshoot prototype devices using documentation and inputs from design engineers
• PCBA rework and soldering
• Experience building and testing high-voltage and high-power electronics products a plus

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate degree or equivalent experience
