Job summary

BestEx Research is expanding its Americas Electronic Equities Trading team in Stamford, CT. You will be a client-facing trader focusing on optimizing equities execution using our advanced trading suite, collaborating with major asset managers and hedge funds.

Reporting to the Head of Equities Electronic Coverage, you will work with quantitative research, product, and trading technology to incorporate client feedback into the roadmap and drive growth in institutional coverage.

Qualifications

• Experience in electronic trading or execution consulting.
• Active FINRA registrations: SIE, Series 7, 63, and 57, or ability to obtain within a set period.
• Strong understanding of US equity market structure, including exchange and ATS landscape.
• Ability to build and interpret an execution analysis and TCA output.
• Experience working with institutional clients under time pressure.

Responsibilities

• Actively cover existing clients and provide real-time oversight of client algorithmic order flow.
• Engage with clients to understand execution needs and offer tailored solutions from the product suite.
• Facilitate onboarding from testing, strategy configuration to go-live.
• Analyze execution outcomes across strategies, venues, order size, and market conditions.
• Provide market structure intelligence on liquidity trends, regulatory changes, and competition.
• Escalate issues to trading tech, manage trading risk, and communicate with clients clearly.
• Prepare client meeting materials and maintain client records with follow-ups.
• Deliver client feedback to product and research teams to align platform investment with demand.
• Participate in beta testing of new algorithmic features and propose enhancements.
