Job summary

Fort Bend County in Richmond, TX is seeking an Electronic Equipment Upfitter - Vehicle Maintenance to diagnose and repair electrical equipment on county vehicles, design and fabricate equipment, and perform preventative maintenance.

You will keep detailed work records, order parts, coordinate with department liaisons to ensure timely projects, and assist with emergency management duties during local disasters.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; two years tech training in electronics preferred.
• Two years of related experience recommended.
• Strong knowledge of automotive diagnosis and repair.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs electrical equipment such as radios, sirens, light bars, radar, etc.
• Designs, fabricates and installs equipment for vehicles.
