Job summary

OPEX Corporation is seeking an Electronic CAD Designer to develop PCB layouts and drive documentation for manufacturing and assembly. You will work closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet DRC and industry standards.

The role involves CAD across Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, Eagle, KiCad, and PADS/Xpedition, with emphasis on BOM control, design for manufacturability, and detailed records for prototype to production releases.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PCB layout experience.
• Electrical fundamentals preferred.
• GD&T and manufacturing documentation.
• BOM management experience.

Electronic CAD Designer, DMA (Document and Mail Automation)

AnElectronic CAD (ECAD) Designeris a professional who creates and maintains electronic and electrical designs using specialized Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.

Responsibilities

• Develop PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layouts.
• Generate manufacturing and assembly documentation.
• Maintain component libraries and design databases.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.
• Perform design rule checks (DRC) and ensure compliance with standards.
• Support prototype builds and production releases.

• Cadence OrCAD / Allegro
• Autodesk Eagle
• KiCad
• Mentor Graphics PADS / Xpedition

Key Skills

• 5+ years’ experience developing PCB layout and routing
• Electrical and electronic fundamentals (Desired)
• GD&T and manufacturing documentation

• Attention to detail and problem-solving
• Employee will primarily be working in an office environmentwith occasional travel to production floor for observation/research
• Sitting for an extended period of time
• Employee will frequently lift up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Salary range of $75K-90K, based on experience.
