Job summary

ULTRAX Aerospace, Inc. in Lees Summit, MO is seeking an Electronics Assembly Technician to troubleshoot electronics, work with calibrated equipment, circuit card assemblies, and embedded software devices.

The role requires reading electrical diagrams and using standard test tools; you will document tests and ensure quality, while contributing to a climate of collaboration and continuous improvement in a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Read electrical diagrams and schematics accurately.
  • Experience with standard electrical testing tools (Oscilloscope, DMM).
  • Electronic troubleshooting experience and problem-solving focus.
  • Pursuing or holding electronics technology degree or certs.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Willing to complete pre-employment onboarding checks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical and mechanical processing, testing components and products.
  • Follow work directions from drawings, schematics and instructions.
  • Document data, complete manufacturing steps and records.
  • Visually, mechanically and electrically verify own work.
  • Operate test equipment such as Oscilloscope and DMM.
  • Report non-conformances and deviations from specifications.
  • Support maintenance of equipment in reliable condition.
  • Diagnose malfunctions with initiative and adjust as needed.
  • Cross-train across multiple departments as required.
  • Work safely in accordance with company requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Electronics Assembly Technician has electronic troubleshooting experience and works with calibrated equipment, circuit card assemblies, and embedded software programming devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical and mechanical processing operations including (but not limited to) preparation, verification, testing of components and products.
  • Perform work based on work directions, engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, sketches, and other written and verbal instructions.
  • Complete the necessary paperwork, records data on products and tests, completes manufacturing steps, and documents that work has been completed.
  • Perform visual, mechanical, and electrical verification of own work.
  • Operate test equipment such as Oscilloscope, DMM, etc.
  • Report non-conformance issues or deviations from product definition.
  • Support activities identified by Manufacturing Engineering to maintain equipment in a reliable efficient manner.
  • Exercise considerable independent judgment and initiative identifying and diagnosing malfunctions to determine correction.
  • May perform other duties as required, including cross training across multiple departments.
  • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established company requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment.
Qualifications/Experience
  • Able to read electrical diagrams and schematics
  • Experience with standard electrical testing tools (O-Scope, DMM, etc.)
  • Experience with electronic troubleshooting
  • Possess or pursuing a degree in electronics technology, or equivalent work experience or certifications
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
