Job summary

Wabtec is seeking an Electronic Assembler I for on-site work in State College, PA. You will perform mechanical assembly, soldering, bonding, and basic testing of transducers, following procedures and drawings.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, up to 1 year of related experience, and familiarity with hand soldering and microscopes. Overtime may be required; program emphasizes Lean improvements and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Typically less than 1 year of related experience.
• Experience with hand soldering and using a microscope is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Acquire health and safety rules.
• Adhere to safety and production procedures to maintain quality.
• Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, work orders and procedures.
• Perform routine hands-on assembly tasks for Eddy Current probes or Ultrasonic transducers.
• Hand soldering and bonding processes performed.
• Complete work orders on schedule to maintain flow and efficiency.
• Role supports Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
