AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a skilled assembler to kit, solder, inspect, and assemble complex electronic subassemblies in a manufacturing environment. The role involves reading blueprints, following customer drawings, and applying conformal coating and encapsulation as required.

  • Ability to use computers to view drawings and documents.
  • Ability to use hand tools, inspection gauges, mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Basic math skills (Ability to read a ruler).
  • Overtime is Mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Soldering of electronic assemblies per J-std 001 and Rotron standard 7.
  • Verification of component values per applicable documentation.
  • Work from blueprints, customer drawings, Specification sheets and written instructions.
  • Handles materials and parts according to proper procedure.
  • Maintains standards of quality and productivity.
  • Records information or data describing work performed and defects.
  • Complies with all company policies.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Job description

Perform a variety of duties to kit, assemble, solder, inspect, paint, rework, conformal coat, and encapsulate a wide variety of complex electronic assemblies or subassemblies. Perform Safety and Shelf-life audits.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Soldering of electronic assemblies per J-std 001 and Rotron standard 7.
  • Verification of component values per applicable documentation.
  • Work from blueprints, customer drawings, Specification sheets and written and verbal instructions.
  • Handles materials and parts according to proper procedure.
  • Maintains standards of quality and productivity.
  • Records information or data describing work performed and defects.
  • Complies with all company policies.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Education and Experience
