Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand production drawings, assembly instructions, work orders, and sample assemblies.
• Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fits, or perform similar operations to join parts.
• Mount assembled components on chassis, PCB, or wiring boards.
• Position and align parts in jig or fixture.
• Connect component lead wires to PCBs and route wires between components.
• Manufacture cables and wiring harnesses using copper, coaxial, twin-axial, and fiber-optic cable.
• Install finished assemblies in cases and cabinets.
• Assemble and attach hardware to assemblies.
• Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding.
• Perform online inspection to ensure parts meet production specifications.

Assembler Job Summary

Gavial is looking to fill an Electronic Assembler position that requires Soldering and Assembly experience with a willingness to learn.

• Electronic tasks include wiring, soldering, reading drawings, reading electrical schematics /wiring diagrams, cutting & tinning wires, etc. Soldering experience is required.
• Mechanical tasks may include sanding, lapping, understanding mixing chemicals/ratios, encapsulation, reading drawings, torquing, etc.

Assembler Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assembler must read and understand production drawings, assembly instructions, work orders, and sample assemblies. Must also be able to receive verbal instructions regarding duty assignments.
• Assembler crimps, stakes, screws, bolts, rivets, welds, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
• Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel or printed wiring boards.
• Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
• Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
• Manufactures cables and wiring harnesses using copper wire, co-axial cable, twin-axial cable, and fiber-optic cable.
• Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
• Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
• Performs intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
• Performs online inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
